Toadstool Magnetic Needle Minder, handmade with embroidered details

The handmade Toadstool Needle Minder is designed to help you whilst you are stitching. No more losing your needle down the sofa, or stabbing yourself whilst you switch threads. With a needle minder, you can attach it to your sewing project by placing the magnetic toadstool on the top of the fabric and the other magnet on the reverse of the fabric. This will keep in this position until you are ready to move it and reduce the risk of adding extra holes to your sewing. When it's time to put your sewing away, or switch your thread, simply place your needle onto the Toadstool. The needle will snap into place with the magnetic force and stay safe until you next need it!

How it's made

The toadstool has been embroidered using Michelle's signature style of free motion machine embroidery, where she draws and paints with thread, using her trusty sewing machine companion - Ellie. Together Michelle moves the fabric and Ellie stitches with Michelle's meticulous foot control, creating intricate and beautiful designs together.

Michelle does not like waste and has been using fabric scraps in most of her designs since 2013, and the toadstool is no exception. Tiny pieces of left over cotton and linen fabrics have been hand cut to shape and then bonded to the woollen felt base fabric. One Neodymium Magnet is then glued to the reverse of the toadstool and the other attached ready for you to remove and reattach when needed.
